Not knowing it, I ran across a new camera that just came on the market in July. I saw a video called The Pen Story made for the E-P1 today that one of my friends posted a link to on YouTube. Interestingly enough the video made for the E-P1 caught my attention that I did a little more research about the camera to find out more about it.
Coming from having a photography background and a fond love for SLR cameras. I’ve always wanted an today’s features of an SLR in a camera that had a smaller camera body. However that is something that just never really was available. Even though I absolutely LOVE my Canon 20-D can be such a pain to carry around when I’m out with friends so I use an Olympus compact camera to take some of the weight off. However the image quality of my Olympus compared to my SLR could not even be compared. Now with the Olympus E-P1, I may be ringing a different tune?
Overall I found it to be a great little compact camera and really interesting that it has a lot of features that a regular SLR camera embody. I also found out that the E-P1 has HD Movie with stereo sound featuring depth of field and Art Filters! To see the specs of the Olympus E-P1 visit their website. Hum… all this talk about the E-P1 kind of makes me want one now. I wonder when they will start selling it in stores in the United States?
